Concord Missionary Baptist Church (CMBC) is the fertile valley in which Reverend Kenneth D. Phelps thrives and grows in grace. He confessed Christ at an early age. He was licensed to preach in November 1990 and ordained in May 1994. His life-long relationship and devotion to the Lord culminated into a dream fulfilled as he was called to pastor at CMBC on December 19, 1994. Married for twenty-four years to Veneeta B. Phelps, Reverend Kenneth D. Phelps is the father of three beautiful children, Kenneth (Daiquiri), Morgan, and David (who are his pride and joy). He holds a B.A. in Computer Information Systems from Wartburg College in Waverly, Iowa, and a Master of Divinity degree from Northern Baptist Theological Seminary. Rev. Phelps is currently completing his Doctorate of Ministry with an emphasis on Preaching through Leadership at Northern Theological Seminary in Lombard, IL.
